Walking
Abergavenny is surrounded by three mountains: The Skirrid, the Blorenge and The Sugar Loaf (visible from our drive). Nearby is The Llanthony Valley. Useful routes here. More Abergavenny route information here.
Towns
Monmouth and Abergavenny are both a short drive and worth exploring. We are fans of the Art Shop and Chapel in Abergavenny. Exhibitions upstairs at the shop, with events and great lunches at the Chapel.
Ross-on-Wye is a 22 minute drive and interiors fans will need to explore Bailey’s Homestore. The town has some nice antique shops.
Hay-on-Wye, Town of Books, is an hour drive away and has more than twenty bookshops, including Booth Books with it’s own cinema. It is home to The Hay Festival, 23 May - 2 June 2024 and also the newly refurbished Hay Castle, with good exhibitions and a cafe.
